Restaurante El Templete

12-14 Avenue Carlos Manuel Céspedes (Avenue del Puerto)

A varied drinks list and an extensive food menu are only part of the draw at this Habana Vieja restaurant, which shares its name with the neighboring El Templete—a neoclassical church which looks like a small Greek temple. Perhaps the top reason to visit the restaurant El Templete is its patio, which is shaded and offers a welcome respite from the hot Havana sun. Settle in at a table, order a Cuba libre or a mojito and then watch the foot and car traffic go back and forth along the Malecón as you enjoy an appetizer or entrée from the menu of Cuban and seafood dishes.
