Long lively dinners with friendsIn the Foz district, a privileged district that attracts several innovative spots and a more urban clientele, there is a restaurant that shows the coolest side of Porto: Cafeína. Inside a restored house of the early twentieth century, you will find a sophisticated and engaging ambience, based on a simple but contemporary decor, designed by Paulo Lobo, with careful lighting and a musical selection of very good taste. The cuisine is exquisite, international based, with the signature of chef Camilo Jaña.
Who goes: it is usually attended by designers, actors and musicians that give it the atmosphere of a restaurant of the world, a hip fashion place full of “beautiful people”. Maybe you’ll find Diana Krall, Joaquín Cortés or president Dilma, whom already been there …
I liked: the colors – dark green, brown rust and gold, the materials – the leather, the oxidized iron, the “skating” centenary floor; the surrounding atmosphere.
