If you want a taste of true Swedish cooking, then this is a must. The 70-something chef, Leif Mannerström, is a living legend in the Swedish restaurant world, with barrier-breaking culinary achievements, bestselling cook books, and high rated TV shows. Try the Wallenbergare, a classic “hamburger” of minced calf meat and plenty of cream served with lingonberry jam. Alternatively, go for other traditional favorites like pickled herring, or steamed cod with brown butter and horseradish. Portions are very generous, so you may not need another meal for quite a while. The old time vibe extends to the restaurant itself, too: The interior has remained more or less the same since it was opened in 1934.
