Spent Sunday hiking around Buttermere in the English Lake District. We decided to climb the fells behind the lake and were rewarded with some of the most stunning views we have seen in the area.
In particular the views from Red Pike were truly spectacular - this one shows the view of Crummock Water, but from the top we could see five different lakes (well Waters) as there is only one lake in the Lake District.
From the top of Red Pike we followed the path onto High Style and then onto High Crag before descending back down to the lake side.
The weather was fantastic and we finished off the day at our favourite local watering hole - The Terrace Bar at The Trout Hotel.
