While there is outdoor dining at the Red Cave restaurant near the main Petra gate, eating indoors is somewhat the point of this literally cavernous bedouin restaurant. Built into the side of a hill, it is cool on hot days and warm in winter. Grilled lamb or traditional poultry dishes make for a satisfying meal after a day spent exploring Petra.
