Railway Coastal Museum

495 Water St, St. John's, NL A1E 6B5, Canada

Housed in the former Riverhead Railway Station, the Railway Coastal Museum celebrates the history of the Newfoundland Railway. The station, which was completed in 1903, was decommissioned after the railway ceased operations in 1988—the same year the building was declared a national historic site. The Railway Coastal Museum opened in 2003 and includes dioramas of 1940s rail travel, a vintage train car and even whimsical puppet shows for children.
