Radisson Blu Alcron HotelFans of Art Deco will be in their element at the Radisson Blu Alcron, housed in an Art Deco building in Prague’s Old Town and brought back to its former glory by esteemed hotel and restaurant designer Maria Vafiadis. Alighting in the lobby, with its gleaming marble and ceilings highlighted by period lighting, you’re following in the footsteps of former guests who’ve stayed here since it opened in 1932, such as Winston Churchill and Charlie Chaplin; in addition, the property’s namesake restaurant, Alcron, is one of only a few Michelin-starred restaurants in the city, and whose chef, Roman Paulus, holds cooking classes there. Rooms are sleek and stylish, especially the roomier suites, with expanses of mirrors and chrome accents, and spacious marble bathrooms with heated floors. In addition to Alcron Restauant, La Rotonde serves classic local cuisine, which can be enjoyed on the terrace in warmer months, while the Art Deco-accented Be Bob Lobby Bar serves inventive cocktails and snacks.
