... Or at least that's how you feel when you enter into the room that holds the basketball-gym-sized panoramic, to scale, model, of the entire 5 boroughs of Manhattan. This exhibit at the Queens Museum of Art has been around since the World's Fair hosted by NYC in 1964. It was updated accurately until 1992. The exhibit provides the unique ability to walk around all of New York City, pick out your house, your apartment, or your hotel. It opens your eyes to the enormity of Staten Island and the sprawl of Brooklyn and Queens. Most importantly it gave me a fantastic excuse to get out to Flushing on a gorgeous Saturday, eat some amazing Korean soup, and hang out in the Flushing Meadows Park enjoying the company of soccer all around.
