Queen Sofía Spanish Institute
Since my semester abroad in college and working at a gallery in Barcelona, I have a deep appreciation for Spanish culture. The Queen Sofía Spanish Institute is committed to promoting the awareness of Spanish speaking countries in a variety of ways including lectures, symposia, and book presentations addressing topics of current international interest in public affairs, medicine, and the arts. I especially enjoy their exhibitions. The 2011 Balenciaga exhibition, curated by Vogue International Editor Hamish Bowles and conceived by Oscar De La Renta, is one of my all-time favorites.
