Bún Bò Nam Bộ, Hanoi Classic Done Perfectly Every Time
Just when I thought I've found my favorite dish, I discover Bún Bò Nam Bộ. Fresh vermecelli and marinated beef topped with fried onions, garlic and crushed peanuts. Served in a sweet, vinegary sauce with lettuce, mint, pickled green papaya and shiso leaves. If that wasn't enough, you season everything with chili sauce, fish sauce and white vinegar. I'm probably missing about 10 ingredients, but that's all I could figure out. Day 11 in Vietnam and my taste buds are pretty stunned from all the flavors.
