A perfect family day
What's a wedding without a celebration? From the civil ceremony in Seyssins for Miriam and Antoine, we motored back across Grenoble and up the hill to Quaix-en-Chartreuse for a festive evening. This is one of my very favorite photos not just of the wedding day, but of our entire trip. For me it captures "a perfect family day." All of Mimi's aunts and uncles arrived from the four corners of the globe. Sixteen of her eighteen cousins were present. In this picture, grandma (my mother-in-law) in her 90th year, pauses for a shared moment with two of her grandchildren, Laure (sister of the bride) and Sylvain (a cousin) as she watches the festivities unfold under a perfect evening sky with the village of Quaix in the background.
