Croatia is a great destination for fans of diving. The Adriatic seabed is rich and diverse in terms of wildlife and even shipwrecks. Croatian part of the Adriatic Sea in recent years was declared as one of the cleanest seas in Europe (source). There are plenty of diving clubs which organise dives to locations considered especially beautiful or interesting. The tides of the Adriatic are mild, allowing beginner and amateur divers to enjoy the time spent underwater without danger or health risks.
Beginner divers often go to the Pyramid Rock (Hrid Piramida) north of Krk; it’s an easy dive, but an attractive one as well. The rock beings at the depth of three meters and goes all the way down to twenty five meters, and the dives can enjoy a spectacular sight of its colorful sponges and corals.
