Pyramid LakeIn the summer, Jasper National Park's Pyramid Lake is a popular spot to kayak, canoe, and explore via paddleboat, but when it freezes over visitors come here to try a number of winter activities including snowshoeing and dog sledding. On the southern edge of the lake in front of the Pyramid Lake Resort, an ice-skating rink is marked out and groomed. Don't imagine, however, that all these activities means the lake is busy and bustling. You won't have to travel far, whether over its frozen surface or paddling across it in summer, to be alone with views of the majestic peaks, including Pyramid Mountain, that surround the lake.
