The Punta Loma Nature Reserve, established in 1967, was the first in the province and is best known for its year-round population of sea lions. The reserve’s nature trail follows along the tops of cliffs, so visitors get a bird’s-eye view of these magnificent animals sunning on the beach and pursuing fish in the sea. Alongside the sea lions, a population of cormorants also lives on the cliffs of this cove.
