Puerto MorelosThis sleepy fishing village sits halfway between Cancún and Playa del Carmen, and has gradually evolved into a signature destination known for fresh catches and lovely white sands. Due to a nearby coral reef, it’s also one of the Riviera Maya’s best locations for snorkeling. While you’re visiting the beach, make sure to snap the decades-old, now-tilting lighthouse, then stop in at Pelícanos or El Merkadito for local seafood. Or change the pace at Los Gauchos or Al Chimichurri—both serve delicious empanadas and Argentine cuisine near the main square.
