Walk into the Royal Gardens
In the oldest area of Manila, known as the Intramuros district, history can be felt through its weathered buildings. There is a makeshift sign indicating the garden is closed, but you'll likely see curious travelers taking a peek beyond this drawbridge entrance into what was once a Royal Garden. The gardens and its buildings are maintained, but done so leaving the original feel - just as you would wandering the Intramuros, you'll feel like you've slipped in time to the colonial days of the Philippines under Spanish rule.
