Pub Sir Joseph
Perched on Boulevard Saint-Laurent near Boulevard Saint-Joseph, this vast British-style pub has been a fun, clean-cut addition to a corner where bars tend toward the grungy. Beer is centre-stage here, with an astute list of U.K. imports (hello, London
Pride!) and a handful of house-brews (take a sip of the Scotch ale, La Joseph). It wouldn’t be a true Montreal
gastropub without a great organic wine list as well, though; the more choices the merrier to accompany the kitchen’s creative take on standards, like bangers and mash or fish’n’chips served with mushy peas. Cocktail lovers, try the luscious Creampari: Campari, orange zest, angostura and cream ale.
