Perogies are Poland's national dish. Made with unleavened dough and stuffed with endless fillings, they satisfy a variety of cravings. The most popular stuffing involves cabbage and sauerkraut, mushrooms, cheese and potato. Established in the 13th century and carried on through endless cheerful holidays, pierogi can now be found in restaurants throughout Krakow.
