I Got A Little Story About Some TacosIf you know anything about College Station, you know that it is proudly the home of Texas A&M University and those fightin’ Texas Aggies. And you also may know that a common saying in Aggieland starts with the very words, “I got a little story for you, Ags...” Well, now we’re talking tacos, and one of the newest food stories in the Bryan College Station area is The Proudest Monkey, opened in 2012 in Bryan’s growing downtown. Opened by Aaron and Stephanie Curs, the restaurant's name comes from Aaron’s favorite song, “The Proudest Monkey,” by Dave Matthews. The couple wanted to create a relaxed spot with quality food and drinks, simple in its offerings but unique in its flair, so, The Proudest Monkey was born—along with menu items like the Cuban, the License to Krill, and the Pulled Hammy taco. Other standouts include delectable burgers, fries, shakes and craft beer. There are many reasons to visit Aggieland—and now, there’s one more.
