Apparently the smallest country in the world, Hutt River Province covers only a few hectares of land within Western Australia.
Upon arriving and entering the gift shop, we were met with the Queen of the 'country' who had carefully laid out their currency (although only for novelty) for us to see - almost trying to prove the country's legitimacy.
Unfortunately the king had 'gone fishn' and she was the only citizen of their 'country' within their 'country' at that time. She then took us on a tour through their historical museum littered with old photos of herself and the king shaking hands with prominent world leaders and had also shown us different gifts given from other nations.
A great sense of pride and 'nationalism' exuded from her delicate smile - after all, she is the queen.
