Presidio La Bahía
217 US-183, Goliad, TX 77963, USA
The Woman in WhiteScene of the infamous Goliad Massacre, when Col. James Walker Fannin and his Texan troops were slaughtered by Mexican forces in 1836, the Presidio is known as one of the saddest haunted places in Texas. Paranormal investigators say that the heaviest concentration of manifestations happen in the courtyard in front of the church, with sounds of babies crying and mumbling voices heard near the chapel. Elsewhere, a spectral woman in white wanders the grounds, apparently searching unmarked graves. Some think she may be "The Angel of Goliad," a woman who was said to have saved some of the troops during the massacre.
