Giant trees and smiling sculptures: Porto Cordoaria GardenThis beautiful garden dates from 1865 and is inhabited by romantic bronze statues.
Located in Porto's center, its most striking feature is an avenue of plane trees with unusually thickened trunks. Peeking between them, a set of sculptures that portray smiling man are an invitation to photography lovers and wonderers alike.
The garden's literally highest point of interest is a 40 m tall Araucaria tree. Its magnificence rivals with the nearby Clerigos Tower.
Just alongside the garden there's is a stop of the city's historical tram.
