You’ll feel like you’ve traveled through time—and though paradise—on this 15-day expedition from the islands of Vanuatu to the shores of Australia. The first week is spent in Vanuatu, where you’ll experience local traditions on Pentecost Island; the “land diving” ritual is said to be the inspiration for bungee jumping. You’ll also admire the coral platforms of Aniwa Island and enjoy the stunning beaches and crystal waters of the nearly deserted Mystery Island. In New Caledonia, you’ll see why Captain Cook gave Pine Island its name in the 18th century (hint: it’s the spindly pine forests), before a day at sea leads the ship to Australia. There, you’ll visit several spots in the Great Barrier Reef region, including Bungaberg, famous for its molasses and rum; the pristine Whitsunday Islands; and the tourist hub of Cairns.
