Vive la viande de boeuf!
Vanuatu produces some of the best grass-fed beef in the Pacific, with any number of places to try it. The Flaming Bull Steak House in Port Vila did not disappoint with a big, juicy rib-eye steak grilled to perfection on my first night, neither did L’Houstalet, a 40-year-old French institution that we saved for our last night and where the portions were leaner but no less delicious. With the yummy French onion soup (another must-try) that preceded and a bush lime sorbet with vodka that followed, it was the perfect last supper on our trip.
