I volunteered for two weeks in the beautiful Ponta D'Ouro Mozambique. We were renovating a primary school with 8 classrooms and 940 children. The poverty surrounding the school was eye-opening. There were no bathrooms, one communal water pump for the area, and many of the children owned only one or two outfits, so we began recognizing kids by their clothing. And yet despite this, all the children were unbelievably happy. They were mystified by our cameras and loved watching the photos back on the small screen. Ponta is a beautiful place, and everyone there is so friendly. I would go back any day.
