Sagres, Portugal: Enjoy the End of the World
When you drive along the sun-baked Algarve coastline in Portugal, every beach you visit seems more amazing than the one you just left. Portugal is home to some of the most stunning beaches in the world, and I'll cast a vote for the wide expanse of golden sand at Sagres as being one of the most beautiful beaches in the country. The road runs out at Sagres, which is known as the End of the World and the most southwestern point of Portugal (and Europe). Sagres is also home to a 16th-century fortress that provides loads of photo opportunities.
