The Fork is a little-known gem at the Point Reyes Farmstead, just north of San Francisco. They're famous for their cheese (Original Blue, Bay Blue and Toma), but they also do monthly family-style dinners at their gorgeous new facility called The Fork, located right on the farm. The March dinner included this delicious mushroom soup, as well as the biggest cheese platter I've ever seen in my life (of course)! We BYOB'ed from the Point Reyes Vineyard just down the road.
And some adorable baby dairy cows were out back, so we went and said hi. One of the best experiences--including food, wine, and eating dinner with strangers--that I've had in the Bay Area.
