Held on the grounds of the local airport in Trencin, Slovakia over three days in early July, Pohoda features an eclectic line-up of both local and globally known artists that attracts some 30,000 people annually. The music is a mix of genres and includes everything from pop and rock to world music, techno to hard-core Slovenian post punk held on multiple stages.
Pohoda is about more than music. The name, which means "well-being" in Slovakian, is taken seriously and you'll find theater, dance and even literature workshops incorporated into the event line-up. There are also plenty of places to just relax in giant chill-out tents, and even opportunities to get a massage and other holistic treatments.
Festival-goers have the option of staying on the grounds with two separate campgrounds, a place for RVs and even an option to rent wood tents equipped with mats and blankets. Transport to the local train station is also offered. This emerging music festival sells out quickly.
