Place Vendôme: End of the road for Peking to Paris
Since 1907 the Peking to Paris race take place between, well, Peking and Paris. A group of loyal fans follow the route every year in their vintage cars and it culminates in the Place Vendôme in Paris. If you catch it just right you can spend the morning checking all the cars out and talking to the drivers, if you are lucky, they might even share some of their champagne, which seems to be their end-of-the-road tradition!
