The Ruins at Pisac
One of the top Inca sites in the Sacred Valley is set high above the town of Pisac. The site offers spectacular views, sure to inspire any photographer, amateur as well as professional. The ruin’s temple area was closed for safety reasons in 2016 and may or may not reopen; regardless, a visit is well worth the time. Pisac’s market used to be the one to visit, but its renown has led to higher prices and now you’re rarely buying directly from artisans any more. That said, the market is sprawling and colorful, especially on Sundays.
