Pirates of Nassau Museum

King and, George St, Nassau, The Bahamas

Though it’s a little hokey (with exhibits that include animatronic pirates, dioramas and a replica pirate ship), there’s actually much to be learned at this small downtown museum. The interactive displays and informative plaques provide a wealth of information about the Caribbean’s Golden Age of Piracy during the late 1600s and early 1700s—and walking through takes only an hour. The on-site gift shop sells great booty for pirate-loving kids, too.
