Pink's Hot Dogs
709 N La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90038, USA
Hollywood's Hottest Hot DogPaul and Betty Pink began selling hot dogs for 10 cents each out of a pushcart in Hollywood in 1939. Fast forward over 80 years, and Pink’s Hot Dogs is still a Tinsel Town staple perched near the corner of Melrose and La Brea. The unassuming stand dishes out 2000 dogs a day, and yes—there’s always a line. Their prices have increased some: hot dogs these days will run you from $3.90 (the “Turkey Dog” with mustard and relish) to $11.95 (the “American the Beautiful Dog,” a super-sized 12-inch jalapeno dog with pastrami, bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes). The most popular menu picks are the ones named after celebs: Martha Stewart, Ozzy Osborne, Emeril Lagasse, and Rosie O’Donnell all have list items named for them, further cementing Pink’s kitschy landmark status.
