The Fish SpecialThis fish restaurant on the small island of Käringön is so popular that people have to reserve a year in advance. The ambiance is friendly and relaxed, and the dishes are on the generous side. While there's always one meat dish on the menu, this is the place for fish. Try cod with horseradish and brown butter. It’s divine! Autumn is the time to indulge in lobster, and in November and December, you must try the traditional Christmas smorgasbord with pickled herring and cured salmon, which here also includes generous heapings of traditional boiled ling with sauteed pork, mustard sauce, green peas and boiled potatoes.
