Pazzi Chapel

50122 Florence, Metropolitan City of Florence, Italy

Imagine if this was your personal place of worship. In the main cloister of the Basilica di Sante Croce in Florence is the Pazzi Chapel, named for the noble family who were its patrons. This is of the tiled cupola outside its entrance; I took this photo in surprise of its color and intricacy compared to the stony gray slabs of the altar inside. The seashell flourishes seemed beautifully out of place in a Tuscan church.
