One of the only trails at Zion National Park that is open to both bikes and pets, the Pa'Rus trail is an easy, mostly flat, 1.7-mile paved path that provides beautiful views of the Zion peaks in a wide open expanse. Rent bikes at the Zion Outfitter (right at the park's entrance), and set out on leisurely bike ride along the paved, 1.7-mile trail, where you will cross several footbridges over the Virgin River. The best time to go is early in the morning, to avoid the mid-day sun. We got there around 9:00 am on a July weekday, and had the whole trail to ourselves for a while. At some points along the path, you can park your bike on the side of the trail and clamber down to the river to dip your toes or take a dip and cool off.
