Even nonsmokers can enjoy a cigar factory tour; after all, the habano is one of the island’s most important exports. The tour, given in one of several languages (including English), takes you directly to the floor where workers roll cigars and prepare them for quality-control inspection. There, you’ll hear the history of this Cuban industry and learn about different types of cigars and how they’re made. There are some surprising facts mentioned, too. Among them that more than 60 percent of rollers are women!
