Often referred to as a volcanic complex, this national park is home to three of the country’s volcanos: Cerro Verde, Izalco, and Santa Ana. Outfitters and tour operators lead day trips to the park, with activities typically including volcano hiking, which is moderate in intensity. High elevations tend to make for cooler temperatures, so dress accordingly.
