Parque Marítimo del Mediterráneo

Avenida Compañía de Mar, s/n, 51004 Ceuta, Spain

Designed by César Manrique and completed after his death, Ceuta’s Maritime Park (Parque Marítimo del Mediterráneo) provides a delightful way to spend a sunny day, either wandering the botanic gardens or taking a dip in the sheltered lagoon and saltwater pools that are kitted out with diving boards and waterfalls. Manrique’s goal was to translate Lake Martiánez of Tenerife in his native Canary Islands to the waterfront of Ceuta. What a result! An array of bars, restaurants and a casino provide plenty of entertainment.
