Parque El Olivar
Beneath the Olive Trees
The olive grove at Parque El Olivar is a breath of fresh air in muggy Lima. The park is a national monument that represents the colonial history of the city and is surrounded by a lagoon, an art gallery, and mansions from the early 1900s. Stop by the adjacent kids library for book readings and educational workshops in Spanish, or soak up the sun while bird watching in the park. A sign indicates all the species you might see gliding above.
