In Cuenca, Ecuador, Christmas Eve is celebrated with the biggest parade of the year -- Pase del Niño, or Passing of the Child. Thousands upon thousands of locals flow through Calle Simon Bolivar on carts, horses, and donkeys! Dancers hop down the streets and music blasts through the streets. The parade goes on from morning til night and ends with brilliant fireworks to seal off the night. Since Christmas Eve celebrates the child -- children are dressed in ornate costumes and sit atop horses and donkeys decorated with fruits, drinks, and all sorts of other goods. Children are the center of attention and it is a great day to be a kid.
