Although it’s not big in size, it is rich in exhibits so make sure you visit it once in the island. Walking its halls you’ll learn quite a lot about the ancient history of the island of Paros. The most impressive exhibits according to my personal point of view are:
1. The idol of the fat woman of Cyclades. It is dedicated to fertility and represents the feminine body. It is dated around 5.000 B.C as we were told. 2. The statue of Gorgo – almost on its whole! It was set in the center of some temple and dated around the middle of the 6th century B.C.
