Parks & Rec Diner
Taking Breakfast up a Notch
Situated inside the beautifully restored Grand Army of the Republic Building, once the headquarters of Detroit's Parks and Recreation Department (hence the name), this 30-seat diner elevates the city's breakfast scene with its retro look and indulgent options. It offers a single menu of not only standard dishes like buttermilk biscuits and gravy; and eggs with bacon and toast, but also surprising twists including "cinnafetti" rolls; house made lamb bacon; shrimp and grits with harissa; Tunisian baked eggs; and chili-topped Coney Waffles.
