Ensconced in the lush neighborhood of Outremont, where houses are big and trees are plentiful, this small park is known for the white stucco building that occupies its central island, surrounded by a circular pond. In the summer, the building opens its four sides and hosts evening tango-lessons, while in the winter it closes up and becomes the changing room for avid skaters who go round and round the frozen loop to tasteful classical music. It’s a wonderful park for a quiet read on one of the benches, a picnic with friends picked up at one of Rue Bernard’s many eateries or a play date thanks to a well-appointed playground on the southeast corner.
