Embera Indian women of the Darien Rainforest create these beautiful pieces of art. They are made for everyday use but have become a great source of income for the tribe. The baskets are created from the fibers of the nahuala plant and chunga palm, and can run from $10-$300. Take a day trip to the Darien Rainforest or you can find these in most shops around Casco Viejo.
