An activity that is taking place at the Palau Requesens, the current headquarters of the Real Academia de las Buenas Letras, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, that combines an evening tour, a popular history talk, and an attractive culinary proposal inspired by the era when the building was built. All of this in one of the Barcelona's most exceptional private palaces built onto the city's ramparts.
The evening begins with a unique guided tour of the city's Gothic Quarter: a surprising way to discover another perspective on the past, history as it was lived at night and behind closed doors.
The itinerary ends with a tour of the inside of Palau Requesens' main floor.
When the tour is finished and participants are seated for dinner, a history expert will offer a brief talk. The evening continues with a menu inspired by Catalan cuisine of the twelfth to fifteenth centuries: a rich and refined cuisine considered to be the best in the Christian world. The dinner is served outdoors or in one of Palau Requesens' interior spaces.
