Palace Beach

Palace Beach is a fun family alternative to the cruise-y eye candy land of most Dubai’s beaches. Aptly named for the fact that it’s sandwiched between two real palaces, this shoreline has had a variety of monikers – Secret Beach (at one point it was), Wollongong Beach (for its proximity to Wollongong University), BBQ Beach, (they were allowed) and ‘Sufouh Beach’ (for its closest neighborhood). Call it what you may, this beach has lots going for it besides the family fun vibe – easy access to the waterways of the Palm Jumeriah (great for kayakers and Stand Up Paddle boarders), a glimpse of the great sail of a building that is the Burj Al Arab in the distance, sugary white sand between the toes and crystalline water all the way to the horizon.
