Paço do Frevo Museum

Facing the shaded little Praça do Arsenal square, a late-19th-century commercial building, finely restored and with an all-white facade, is now the Paço do Frevo Museum. And your first question will be what in the world is frevo? While Brazil is famous for samba and bossa nova, up in the northeast this frenetic music and dance style reigns, especially at carnaval time. Photos, films and live performances will keep you there for hours.
