This waterfront’s transforming big time. Gone are the industrial giants along the river banks. Once a bastion of steamship building and the port where thousands of emigrants left for greener pastures in America, now you’ll find interesting new builds by Pacific Quay. See the Glasgow Science Center, the IMAX Cinema and Sir Norman Foster designed Clyde Auditorium. It’s nicknamed the Armadillo for its shape. I like the big light box of Scotland’s BBC HQ open for tours and always have a giggle when passing the Clyde Arc because locals nicknamed it the squinty bridge.
