Catch a Hockey Game at the Giants
In Canada, there’s life, and there’s death and then there’s hockey! Nothing gets a Vancouverite more fired up than talk of their beloved Canucks. The boys in blue play down at the Rogers Arena throughout the season, however, games can be on the pricey side, so my tip is always to check out what the next generation is up to instead down at the Pacific Coliseum and watch the Vancouver Giants, the city’s juniors team. It’s a fun –and affordable–night out with all the excitement of a live game, plus hilarious touches like the half-time appearances from the t-shirt cannon-toting, Zamboni-riding mascot, Johnny Canuck.
