Cruising by Boat and Kayak through the San Juan Islands
Outer Island Expeditions have many tours to choose from. After selecting the whale watching tour and kayaking tour for our Orcas Island weekend, we were set for adventure.
During our whale watching tour, we skipped across the Puget Sound to see wildlife consisting of orca whales, humpback whales, Dall porpoises, and seals. It was fun to watch the whales dive. The Dall porpoises swam in front of our boat and playfully jumped out of the water.
The next day, we did a kayaking tour to Point Doughty. Point Doughty is only accessible via kayaks with no road access. The kayaking trip was great fun and relaxing. On a clear day, we were able to see Mt. Baker in the distance. It was a great weekend full of adventure, marine animals, and excitement. I highly recommend booking a tour with them if you are ever in the area.
